What does Adventure mean to you?
We are now 3 weeks into the #makingwave competition and the stories we are reading are more varied than we could have hoped for. Take your time to browse the Gallery, the stories are short and sweet and you are bound to find some that resonate with you. The diverse stories show how adventure shapes our lives and helps us to grow, heal, and ultimately, find our incredible selves.
The message we are seeing loud and clear is that adventure means something different to you all. Each one of us embarks on our own unique journeys, driven by various motivations and aspirations.
For some, adventure is the thrill of ticking off bucket list items and chasing childhood dreams. For others, it serves as a goal to keep focused and motivated through life’s challenges. Many find in their adventures a path to health and happiness, embracing the physical and mental benefits that come with exploration.
What are the common themes we have spotted in your adventure stories?
My favourite theme is the quest to find your “incredible self.” This journey of self-discovery and transformation is perhaps the most profound adventure of all. Plus you are never to old for adventure, if anything, with age comes the opportunity, coupled with changing family lives and a desire for something more!!
