Starting this journey, an unconventional adventure as a woman with autism and a mother of four has definitely navigated personal and societal barriers. My adventure has involved stepping out of my comfort zone, becoming part of a community, and empowering and inspiring other women to be their most authentic selves. The adventure keeps giving and evolving as I go along, hurdles I never imagined and natural highs to go with the difficulties. I have had to challenge and push through personal limitations to empower myself and women in the community. My adventure consists of careful planning, organisation, and the bravery to step into unfamiliar territory whilst also being a ‘never-ending journey’. It’s not a solitary journey but a collective effort of empowerment and solidarity among all women. Along the way, I’ve met incredible and fearless women, each with stories of resilience and strength. So, while my adventure may not fit the conventional mold, it’s a journey filled with courage, compassion, and the relentless need to step out of my comfort zone. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Also, everybody is a bikini body! I’ve swam all through winter for 4 years, walked a marathon, encouraged women to come camping, waterfalls, and even went to Poland for the day – for a swim!
