Created a surf club for women and girls

It’s an adventure of sorts that has led me to so much of myself and my activism. I created the club 8 years ago for my daughter (now son) and it has changed my life!

Why is the outdoors important to you?

It has connected and helped so many women and girls from refugees to women in refuge from domestic and mostly – it’s connected me to myself and my heritage and has enabled me to fight for equity in ocean spaces.

Why do you want to be involved?

I’ve begun to loathe what I see in the mirror – I know what I do does so much for others but I have forgotten to be in love with who I am x
