Small Adventures, Perfectly Formed.

Using the word ‘adventure’ changed my life, ten years ago, when I decided to take control of my life again – swapping the bubbles of anxiety for bubbles of excitement. I left my predictable, pain-filled past and moved 200 miles to start again, to reinvent myself and show my son how to do it. A year ago I finished my training to start a whole new career, the one I always wanted, but feared was out of my reach. This is the year of B52; 52 brand new experiences before I hit age 52, and these adventures don’t have to be earth-shattering; they can be close to home, quick to achieve, and affordable, like swim retreats, podcast guesting and learning to roller skate! They just have to remind you that you’re alive!

Why is the outdoors important to you?

It reminded me that I could decide to change the course of my life. And that there’s no ‘wrong result’, just the experiences and subtleties of being human.

Why do you want to be involved?

Because of the way my mind, heart, life have changed by adjusting the way I think and the words I use, I’m desperate for others to know that they can change theirs. And especially that their adventures can be whatever they want them to be, big or small, physical or mental; as long as each year is better than the last.
