Cancer gave me freedom.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 38. This enabled me to claim life insurance, which enabled me to leave a situation that had been very difficult. It gave me a new life. I joined Frock up Friday and developed a new sense of style and confidence and I started sea swimming. I carried on through the cold and now have a completely new life! I know it’s probably not what you’re looking for but it was the best adventure I could have had and made me who I am today!

Why is the outdoors important to you?

It took me from a depressing life on which I had no sparkle to a whole new life filled with colour, love and abundant joy!

Why do you want to be involved?

I want to inspire others and bring joy to people’s lives.
