Adventure Films from across the World: Join me, PinkNicky, and Frontier Sapiens Film Festival on Thursday, September 5th, in Brighton, for my favourite outdoor adventure film night of the year.
For the last few years, I have taken my boys, my nephew, and my mum to watch adventure films from all over the world. This year, I have taken a new approach and will be partnering with the film festival, to inspire lots more people to watch the films at the Brighton film night.
You can’t help but walk away from the night inspired by the people in the films, their work, and their impact on the world. It might just spark a little seed in you!
Every project starts with an idea that, with passion, drive, and a lot of luck, can come to life!
Beware: Since watching the films, my 80-year-old Mum has been inspired to swim in the Nile, my son has volunteered on a dolphin project this summer, and my nephew has signed up to visit Kenya in two years time!
Last year, my favourite film was Walking on Clouds. We watched Rafael Bridi attempt to break the record for the highest highline in the world (1900m) above the city of Praia Grande in Brazil. Think two massive air balloons and a slackline running between them—this guy is on another level of chilled and bonkers!!
What is the Frontier Sapiens Film Festival?
Returning to Brighton in 2024 with a new lineup, join us for an evening of thought-provoking short films featuring inspiring stories of human endeavour. Travel the globe with some of the world’s best filmmakers and experience the extraordinary human spirit and wild adventures on the big screen.
This year’s films include a huge new ski descent on Baffin Island, the rehabilitation of racehorses in the mountains of Mallorca, and a visionary base jump in Pakistan.

1 The Horsemen of Mallorca: (5 minutes)

A beautifully shot film on the symbolism of horses and the importance of passing the torch on to the next generation.

2 Eternal Flame: (26 minutes)

🎥Following in the footsteps of 90’s pioneers, Eric Jamet @jameteric and Antoine Pecher are on a mission to push the boundaries of base jumping. Join them in Pakistan as they attempt to become the first people to combine climbing the Eternal Flame route with jumping from the top of the famous Nameless Tower. An exhilarating adventure, in one of the most breathtaking places in the world.

3 Streets to the Peaks: (15 minutes)

🎥Only 43% of young people in inner cities complete the weekly recommendation of physical activity, and many have never even set foot outside their own city streets. Led by ex-convict John McAvoy, Streets to the Peaks tells the emotive story of 12 young athletes stepping into the unknown and embarking on a journey to take on one of the iconic trail races at UTMB. An inspirational story proving that nothing is impossible.
🎥The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc is a mountain ultramarathon race that follows the route of the Tour du Mont Blanc. It is 108 miles long and has been regarded as the most competitive trail ultramarathon in the world. The women’s record is 22 hours 30 minutes 54 seconds, and the men’s record is 19 hours 37 minutes and 43 seconds.

4 EarthSide: (33 minutes)

5 Dream to Cure Water: (22 minutes)
